About Book One
Riley Walsh couldn’t help but be the littlest bit type A. She’s fierce, driven, loyal and loveable, but
sometimes has a hard time getting out of her own way. A former American Sign Language interpreter
frustrated with the system churning out interpreters that the Deaf community doesn’t trust, she
pivots to academics, hoping to make more of an impact. Determined to start over after a life-altering
breakup, she moves from California to a Chicago suburb where her friends and roommate are
determined for her try out casual dating.
CJ Acker could not be more different. A confident, unflappable go-with-the-flow personality. She is
cocky casual dater who is content with her no-strings-attached lifestyle. DEI consultant by day and
high school softball coach by night, CJ is open-minded with a big heart, quiet strength, and a core
group of friends whose entertaining antics always keep her on her toes.
Neither woman is prepared for the passionate and emotional crash course they’re heading down, and

ABOUT ME
I am a corporate gay by day, and a spicy sapphic author by night. What started as an obsession with one queer show became hundreds of thousands of words poured into fanfiction that I reshaped to bring you the Love Language series. I recently moved from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, and I am LOVING IT! Eating and drinking my way through the world, while absorbing all the culture and history of this remarkable planet is the most rewarding and exciting experience. I come from a massive family made up of a bunch of different kinds of weirdos that I couldn’t love more if I tried.
